Design of Mobile Showers

The brief was to create a plastic canister with a mobile shower for easy transport and use, for example, at a campsite, in a garden or at home, perhaps when washing pets.

The entire plastic container has a three-part construction. The central white part serves as a water reservoir and the opposite coloured sides are connected by two sturdy handles on its two edges, so that the device can be carried comfortably by more than one person.

The shower has two openings covered by removable lids. One of them is for filling water, the other one is for removing the shower head from the barrel. User comfort is also enhanced by a small pump located at the bottom inside the unit and powered by a battery.

The main parameters are ergonomics, mobility and functionality. A control panel on the outside of the canister switches the pump on and off, and with the help of the appropriate flow setting on the shower head, there is no need to tilt the device during use. And even if it’s full to the brim, young and old alike will be able to handle it anywhere.
